C-Tech Shaw masts

C-Tech have designed a mast for the Shaw with carbon spreaders and internal halyards.  C-Tech's Shaw masts can be exported world-wide.  Masts are supplied in 2 pieces, with the tip pre-fitted and ready to join on arrival. 

Carbon fibre spreaders can be supplied on bands, ready to be attached on arrival.  By supplying the mast without spreaders attached the freight price is significantly reduced.  

What is a Shaw?

The Shaw has been designed as a boat for the average sailor on a budget and has been developed as a high-performance sport boat that is easy to handle.  Designer Rob Shaw has developed a lightweight design that is easily driven, with lower sheet loads, easier planing and easier transportation.

The Shaw offers the sailor performance at the lowest cost.  The Shaw can boast to be one of the cheapest production sport boats in the world under 7m, and also one of the fastest and lightest.

The Shaw design includes a two-spreader carbon flexi-rig, set up to make sail control and boat balance semi automatic.  This design is currently the fastest sport boat of its size in New Zealand.  It has excellent upwind performance in all conditions, while being significantly faster than other designs when reaching and running.
