What is a Flying 11?
The Flying 11 has been designed as a high performance, double handed racing skiff suitable for a wide age range, however very popular with 12 to 18 year olds. The Flying 11 class is very strong in Australia, offering outstanding competition with National regattas attracting fleets of over 100 boats.
The Flying 11 is a logical step in the transition between junior classes and prepares young sailors for classes such as Cherubs, 420s, 470s, 29ers, Moths, 13s or even 49ers. The Flying 11 offers all the necessary experiences to move on in the yacht/skiff/dinghy racing arena.
